Nenana River
The Nenana River runs through the Alaska Range, just 300 miles south of the Arctic Circle. This glacier-fed river is popular for those interested in rafting and kayaking due to both the exciting rapids and the gorgeous environment. The Nenana River runs along the border of the Denali National Park, one of America's last frontiers and home of North America's tallest mountain, Mt. McKinley. Denali Outdoor Center provides three different tours on the Nenana River. D.O.C. is located on the border of Denali National Park and is one of Alaska's highly esteemed river outfitters. We have over 45 years of combined experience on the Nenana River. That means we provide informative and thrilling experiences for a variety of guests. We accommodate visitors ranging from the beginner level to the most experienced rafting aficionado. In addition, we offer a wonderful atmosphere for personal instruction and preparation for facing whitewater rapids. You can even learn to kayak and face class II and III rapids on your first run. Our exciting inflatable kayaks help beginners by increasing their learning curve with stability and performance so they can interact with nature and paddle with an experienced kayak instructor. We highly encourage our guests to make reservations in advance. Denali Outdoor Center offers tours from mid-May until mid-September, so you can plan your Alaskan vacation around your rafting or kayaking adventure.
