Denali Outdoor Center (D.O.C.) is Denali National Park’s paddle rafting specialists! This Nenana River paddle rafting adventure offers hands-on action and is our most popular Alaska whitewater river trip. While some Nenana raft adventure companies will paddle around the big whitewater, with the protection of our “drysuits” and the experience of our guides, Denali Outdoor Center will run more Alaska whitewater and offer a more exciting ride! Our 15ft. Star Inflatables Rafts are smaller boats designed specifically for paddling which makes the Alaska whitewater action bigger and more fun!! A 2 hour (11 mile) Alaska whitewater rafting journey with class III & class IV whitewater rapids (minimum age required is 14 years old). The Canyon Run is our most popular Nenana rafting adventure and a true classic. Come prepared to paddle and follow your paddle captain’s commands. No experience is required.
This 4 hour (22 mile) Alaska whitewater raft adventure combines the Scenic Wilderness and Canyon Run river trips. Experience a Nenana River rafting adventure you may never forget with class II through class IV whitewater rapids (minimum age required is 14 years old). Begin your adventure in search of wildlife and finish with Wildwater.
Nenana Full Day
The Nenana River is the eastern boundary of Denali National Park for nearly 40 miles. Experience a 7 hour day of adventure floating over 30 miles. Start your journey through class I & II mild whitewater with spectacular views and chances to view wildlife and then continue through class III & IV rapids in the Nenana River Gorge. Choose either paddle raft or oar raft option and enjoy a riverside lunch served by your guide. A minimum of 6 guests is required; this trip may be rescheduled as a Nenana Half-day trip if minimum number of guests is not met.
Professional Guides and Equipment
D.O.C. uses some of the best equipment available. Every paddler will be wearing a drysuit, helmet, specialized kayaking PFD and wetsuit booties. Experienced and knowledgeable guides will provide support and instruction on paddle techniques, river safety, assisted and self rescue.
